A multi talented musician (lead singer, guitar & bass guitar), Yann has been playing for 15 years acoustic solo gigs as well as rock trio concerts. As encounters allow, he is writer, composer or simply performer. The heritage: Yann stands at the crossroads between French singers as Ferré, Brel or Gainsbourg, and the influence of pop rock artists as Coldplay, Ryan Adams or Radiohead. |
  
The encounters:
In 1996 his band Spigaows plays a lot in the Marseille area. In 2001, Yann signs a publishing deal with BMG and afterwards a record deal with EMI in 2002. He writes songs for Canadian singer Roch Voisine and Israeli singer Nourith, among many others.
In 2003, Yann joins Francis Cabrel’s sessions and learn how to write songs in collaboration with others, and loved it. Yann joins the band Susan in 2005 and release an album in 2007, but the band splits just afterwards.
Now:
Yann keeps on writing for others, but has decided to set up MATISSE as his personal project, with the rock touch he appreciates.
